Kickball

This weekend back in the evies of Pioneer Park a very intense game of kickball went on. When planning this event the forcast was sunshine all the day long. But no, this was not the case. As we arrived at the park on Saturday morning the clouds started to roll in, and the wind blew. We decided that we would play regaurdless, being devoted people that we are. So we began the game as a 3 on 3 boys against girls. Did i mention that the baseball dimond was all mud?! The harder we played the more it poured, it was a blast! By the end of the game,Robin ran and nose dived into the huge mud pit at second base, for which she was promised a petti cure at the place of her choice, by her hubby Ted. That was i fun was to end it! The boys dominated for those who wondered. No worries tho, next time.

Missionary Training

Ah, this Friday my mission skills were challenged. Erika and i walked from store to store in Capital mall looking very professional( i think we looked like Mormons cause we were in twos) trying to get raffle donations for the Pumpkin Patch Bash. After about 15 tries with no definite yes, my enthusiasm lessened quite a bit. However we persisted and got our first yes from Cinnabon! Woohoo! After that i was ready for the rest of the day.
By the end of the day we received one more definite yes, to which we treated ourselves to a pretzel and Starbucks. My eyes have been opened to just how persistent you have to be to raise money for any cause. Praise the Lord for my experience. Oh and Kelly for giving me the opportunity. We will see how it goes our next time around!
